American revolution was about the colonies(America) rising above the British. The war with the British costed the British half their national budget so they needed to make money to try to cover that, so the best thing to do would be to raise taxes, that’s what they did. It was not much of a problem until they were trying to stop smuggling in the colonies, and in the colonies it was not a big deal because people liked to smuggle rum just as much as the other guy

And then they passed a law so they could tax anyone they did not wanna tax, but they could at any time, so instead of taxing them they made the stamp act. The stamp act is where any documents had to have a stamp that you had to pay for and it was only for the colonies so that means the British are making the colonies pay for their own war and no other British have to pay for it. This got a lot of citizens angry so of course this would lead to them removing the stamp act. The battle of bunker hill happens in 1775 in June they the British still won the war but the British lost 1,000 British casualties from a garrison of about 6,000 and the Americans only lost 500 and the British was a lot bigger force.

Leaving the tax on tea, but tea was a big item that almost every family had they made it cheaper but still breaking human rights and they knew they were not being treated equal so when they taxed tea everyone was furious because then they knew that it they could tax anything then so they the threw tea into the harbor and the tea would be worth up to four million dollars today. At this point everyone wanted a revolution so the french helped the colonies. and any new laws that were in place by the british were rejected, this lead to 13 colonies except for georgia a group of delegates got together and this was the first congress, congress means a national legislative body of a country.

July 1776 when Thomas Jefferson wrote and the congress unanimously approved the United States declaration of Independence. The colonies became states and congress rejected the British proposals for compromise that would keep them under the king. The human rights after where better off with everyone being treated equal and not making people pay for the war and people had freedom of speech without having to be worried about British and they had a right to take part with their government and not just have the British rule over them and get told what to do. The american revolution was a very good thing and nothing bad really came out of it.
